PASIC is a research project whose goal is to stimulate action in selected policies and programs, relevant for intensification of smallholder crop production systems.

Improved small holder farmers’ income is what PASIC strives to achieve in the next years. This will be through increased crop yields from their plots of land as a result of improved access and use of production technologies such as fertiliser, improved seed, and knowledge. Constraints to production and productivity will be identified, and when addressed through enabling policies, sustainable intensification of cropping systems will occur.

“We are using systems research evidence to stimulate policies that create an enabling environment for crop intensification”
